Curators of Cutting-Edge Technology Solutions
Who We Are
Although officially formed in 2018, we have been providing services to the Laramie and Casper Wyoming area and a few other locations across the country since 2003. We got our start designing and building home theaters, networking systems, and commercial presentation systems. Our services have naturally evolved over the years to include state-of-the-art lighting, automated shading, audio video technologies and full integration smart home systems that are the best available in the market.
Today, if you can imagine it, we can make it happen. In fact, we pride ourselves in providing solutions that will exceed your imagination!
Our Mission
We proudly serve the State of Wyoming and Northern Colorado with custom-tailored technology solutions. While our home base is in Laramie, we frequently travel to support all Wyoming locations. We also design systems with remote support in mind for Wyoming’s unique market. Whether you are in Gillette or Evanston, Cheyenne or Cody, or anywhere in-between, we are experienced and equipped to serve you with the best-in-class installations and support.
At the end of the day, our main goal is to make sure our clients are happy. Not only do we focus on world class designs and products, but we make sure that each system has reliable hardware and user-friendly controls that meet the needs of every client.
Our clients can expect clear communication throughout the entire project and to receive exceptional service after installation. We also use technology in every install that allows us to provide immediate support without a visit to the site whenever possible, no matter how remote your location.
Jared Strube
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
He attended the University of Wyoming after high school and simultaneously earned Bachelor's Degrees in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. For good measure, he continued his education at UW, earning a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Throughout college, he also designed and installed custom home theaters and provided network and IT support around Laramie.
Once finished with his master’s degree, Jared moved to California with his wife, Kari and spent several years designing components for state-of-the-art weapons systems with the US Navy and establishing an electronics manufacturing facility to allow for in-house manufacturing of necessary electronics. During this time, he also supported Navy IT and technology systems and designed conference room presentation systems.
In 2015, he and his wife returned to Laramie in order to be closer to family. He obtained his Wyoming Professional Engineering license while working for a small engineering firm. He designed a traffic lighting system for a large North Dakota highway project, helped manage the construction of a $90M high school as an Owner's Representative, and served the Albany County School District #1 as an IT professional. In early 2018, he and his wife founded 7220 Consulting.
Jared has a passion for technology and enjoys figuring out the best and most reliable solutions for each project. He is hard-working, has an extreme attention to detail and always strives to make sure that any system designed is the best fit possible for the client in terms of performance, cost and ease of use. Clients can rely upon him to be honest, responsive to their needs and available whenever questions may arise.
Kari Strube
Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer
Kari grew up in a small town in Wyoming and attended the University of Wyoming after high school, earning both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering. Once completed, Kari and Jared moved to California and worked for the Department of Defense for several years. Kari worked in a department that designed automatic target recognition systems for emerging technology systems. She was responsible for testing the algorithms, analyzing their strengths, and identifying areas for improvement. She also worked closely with the data collection teams to ensure everything was accurately described and cataloged.
In the fall of 2015, when the Strubes moved back to Laramie, she began teaching at the University of Wyoming. She became a full-time lecturer for the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Fall of 2021. She has been responsible for a wide variety of classes, but had a leadership role in the mechanical engineering senior design course series and the introductory class that instructs future engineers the basics of utilizing tools such as Excel and MATLAB. Student success was always important to her and she is proud to have led students through participating in national competitions and testing at NASA, applying to their top choice graduate programs, and achieving full-time employment at companies that align with their interests.
Now taking a full-time role at 7220 Consulting, Kari will use her attention for detail and organization skills to help the company maintain its financial health so that it can continue to grow, provide more services, and better serve our clients. She leads not only the day-to-day financial planning, but also ensures the company maintains financial compliance and strategically plans for growth.
Outside of work, Kari enjoys spending time with the Strube’s two children, Patrick and Lorelei, and taking them to their activities, such as swimming and dance. They also enjoy working on art and craft projects, baking, gardening and playing with the family dog, Maple.
