Basement remodel

Project Description
The Bench Heart Theater is a large theater with motorized seating for eight and a dry bar. It features 7 channel surround sound with a 15" subwoofer and a 160" acoustically-transparent fixed screen hiding the front three speakers. The room is finished with custom crown molding and trim work and black velvet at the front of the space to absorb any reflections. Equipment is stored in a closet and controlled using RF control.

The theater was designed by 7220 Consulting.

Special features:

 


  • Floorstanding speakers are inset through the wall and into the closet of a neighboring room to maximize space
  • Black velvet is installed on the screen wall to maximize perceived contrast
  • Acoustic panels on a sliding track cover the rear window
  • Equipment is hidden away in a closet and controlled by a single RF remote
